Supported devices
Mac: microphone and meeting-audio capture, transcription, documents, iCloud-backed library storage and listening.
Supported documents
KAF Brief accepts PDF, DOCX, PPTX, Markdown, plain text, RTF, spreadsheets, web archives, common image formats through OCR, and supported audio or video files for text extraction.
Mac meeting audio
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Allow KAF Brief access to Microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording.
- Quit and reopen KAF Brief after changing either permission.
- Start KAF Brief before the meeting and confirm that the microphone and meeting-audio indicators are active.
AI availability
On supported devices, KAF Brief uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models for generative features. If Apple Intelligence is unavailable, recording, transcription, document import and listening remain available; AI-specific controls explain what is required.
Sync
Sign in to your Apple Account, enable iCloud Drive and allow KAF Brief to use iCloud. Sync between Macs can take a short time after importing a large document or reconnecting a Mac.
Before recording
Tell participants that you are recording and obtain any consent required by local law or your organisation. KAF Brief does not replace your recording and confidentiality obligations.
